I had a great time working with Collette Pilates on some recent demonstration photographs for their new boutique Pilates studio in Southwest Austin. The space really has a nice, relaxing feel, but the exercises are anything but relaxed. It was very clear that this is the kind of exercise you do when you want to really build natural strength and proper form.
That attention to natural form and detail is also one of the things that sets Pilates apart from a lot of other forms of fitness instruction. Collette of Collette Pilates is very hands on, wanting to make sure clients are executing these precise movements precisely so they receive the absolute greatest benefit from each motion. That's what I wanted to portray in our demonstration photographs.
