When I first spoke with Leigh and Gary about their engagement photography session, they had a wonderful idea. They wanted to highlight their new hometown alongside their engagement for all their friends and family around the country to enjoy. After talking it through, we started our exploration along South Congress and some of the iconic locations there.
South Congress offers a lot of opportunities for great photographs. The color and textures of South Austin mingle with the energy of all the people who call this city home and if you keep your eyes open, you'll constantly discover different backgrounds to work with... like this bright, red wall. What a fun place to take a break.
From there it was off to Hope Outdoor Gallery to check out the new street art and graffiti. The graffiti park is another wonderful place for portraits because it's always changing and you never know what you're going to find. I have to say, our visit was fortuitous that day.
Our last stop was also one of the most important... the place where Gary proposed not so very long ago. Luckily the very spot where she said yes was free so they could catch another peaceful sunset together.
Congrats again to Leigh and Gary. I had such a fun day with you both and I know you're going to have a wonderful life together. Austin's lucky to have you two as well!
